Professional Experience

November 2005 -
Present
Self Employed / AZDeveloper Web Services
My own development company, AZDeveloper, allows me to perform fully customized development and maintenance for my clients. Some of my recent and exciting work has been on web sites like RealAdvice.com, and WhoIsYourSponsor.com. Both web sites are very large, highly dynamic sites that I built from the ground up, everything from the design, to the functionality.

Running my own company has taught me how to focus my time and skills on a variety of projects. I have fine-tuned my skills in database design, project management, object-oriented programming and much more, all of which has increased my proficiency and makes me a well-rounded and more experienced asset to any company or project. I also have alliances with other industry professionals and can assemble a team if needed for large projects with short time constraints.
June 2005 -
November 2005
Responsive Data LLC
Senior Web Developer / Project Manager
Responsive Data is one of the industry leaders when it comes to lead generation. This new company was very small with only a handful of employees, and I being the only developer spent the majority of my time extinguishing daily fires and taking care of what was important at the given moment rather than what was important for the future. While I may have been under-utilized, I made a big impact on their annual revenue.
2002 - 2005
Adoption.com
Senior Web Developer / Project Manager
Adoption Media is made up of over 600 active web sites, and now has over 1 Million pages of content. When I was hired by the company, there was no organized system of content management. When a new page of content was added, you had to manually edit each page to add the link. I began to develop a custom CMS (Content Management System) to accommodate their needs as a growing company. I built and designed this complex and very versatile application to be easy to use by the content editors. In addition to the development of the CMS, I built all of the community sites including the popular Adoption Forums, Adoption Loans program, the Adoption Library & Encyclopedia sites, as well as many of the major sections of their web sites.
2000 - 2002
Bryan Media LLC
Junior Web Developer
Bryan Media Group is a nationally renowned media development source. I functioned primarily as a web developer, developing hundreds of web sites for the company's many clients. In addition to web design, I frequently helped in the video production department.

Additional Experience

Paragon Jewelers LLC
Owner / Developer
I built Paragon Jewelers from the ground up after partnering with a retired Jeweler in September 2004. We spent several months laying out our business plan, developing the web site, and establishing relationships with several jewelry vendors. We launched in May 2005, and had great success with the site until our partner began to have health problems, at which time we had to close the site.
Surf Experts Media
Owner / System Administrator / Developer
A partner and I created this new media company out of the need of hosting our own web sites. Our primary focus was our hosting, but we soon grew into a full multimedia company. I maintained our servers and managed the projects, while my partner handled finances. When taking on new clients, I managed the client's projects with a team of as many as 7 developers.
Johnson Financial Advisors
Network Systems Administrator
Like many small offices, Johnson Financial Advisors had needs for system, network & performance reliability from their computers and network. I implemented a central server system that eventually became the grounds for our current Windows Server Domain. Due to excellent planning, 95% of all system & network maintenance is performed offsite; allowing for my assistance as needed.
YSAP LLC
Owner / Developer
YSAP.net (The Young Single Adult Party Network) was one of the first LDS Dating web sites on the Internet. We produced and promoted parties for LDS Singles on both a local and national level, as well as had one of the most popular dating profile sites at the time.

Additional Experience

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Full-time Missionary
I served a two year mission for the Mormon church in New York City from 1997 to 1999. I was assigned to speak Spanish and am now fluent in speaking and reading Spanish. I served as a Zone Leader, overseeing the work of 12+ missionaries in my zones.
Incredible Universe
Sales Associate
Originally hired for software sales, I was quickly moved to computer sales when I shattered sales records in both departments. Those sales records held to the close of the company in 1997.
Freelance Audio/Video Specialist
I setup and ran the audio and/or video for television broadcast at over 250 Suns, Rattlers, Diamondbacks, and Coyotes games, as well as many other events.
